Miele H316 Oven Display not working

Hey Guys, a few months ago, after a power surge, our oven display panel had a funny symbol on it, and no buttons would change that. After some research we reset the oven by the mains power for a minute and It came back to normal.

However, 2 months later and another surge the display panel now showed a 'o' with a horizontal line accross it. I tried resetting the mains again, and now the display panel is blank, do you think it could be a fuse or the whole panel is stuffed?

Oven won't heat up

Last night I turned my oven on to 400 degrees but only heated up to 100. This morning my husband took off the bottom pan inside the oven and turned the oven on to 350 degrees. The ignitor came on and then the flames came on and the oven heated up to 350. But once the flames came on, the ignitor stayed on. I thought the ignitor should turn off once the flames came on. So I'm thinking the ignitor is bad. Is that right?

kgsk901sss01 cooling fan doesn't turn on

The cooling fan in the oven does not turn on when using the oven or burners. The cooling fan/motor is good (new replacement part). Perhaps the replay board needs to be replaced? Or should I check something else first?

Thanks,
David

GE Spectra XL44 - minus button only has a "sweet spot" - touchpad or control panel?

We have to click all around the minus "-" button to find the "sweet spot" to make it increment down. The button works if you can just find the right spot, and everything else on the oven works perfectly. Can anyone tell me if it's the touchpad or the full control panel that's at fault?

We'd really appreciate any direction, because the cost differential is pretty significant. Or is there some sort of cleaning that might help?

Samsung FX510BGS Broiler won't light

Hi All!

I have a Samsung gas range, model #FX510BGS. Tonight I tried to use the broiler, and it didn't light. The gas was hissing and pouring into the (now) well ventilated kitchen, but no ignition. The normal oven lights and heats just fine. After things cooled down and aired out I tried to light it again while keeping an eye on the igniter - it glowed bright orange but nothing more, and still no ignition.

I'm assuming I need a new ignitor - are there two in this model? 1 for the broiler and another for the normal oven?

Regardless, can you point me in the direction of the part number?

Thanks in advance for all your help,

Scott

FER300SX Power Issue with Samsung

Good Evening,

We are in the process of replacing a VERY old (I would have to guess 1970s) electric range with a used Samsung model FER300SX - can confirm it was working prior to our pickup and transport. Each range had a power cord already fixed to the back of it. [The old stove had 3 prongs, 2 straight and one at a right angle. The newer stove has 3 prongs but all 3 are straight]

Looking at the back of the stoves, we saw that although the prongs were different both had three wires - Red, "Green" (Neutral? Ground?), and Black - so we figured they were interchangeable and decided to take the power cord off of the old range and put it on the new one. We figured it was the same thing but with different shapes (seriously hoping we didn't do something very bad!) We marked the wires and are confident we kept the red on red, green on green, black on black (If that even matters?)

When we turned the 220 back on, the ne cooktops worked but the clock, oven and all digital controls dont. We saw this thread: http://ift.tt/2ovCY8J

and we feel like that somewhere along the line power may be the issue. We feel like maybe work needs to be done on the receptacle, the line and/or the box. We are not extremely wealthy and relatively handy so if possible we try to do things ourselves, but safety is a priority.

If it will help, I can try to post pictures/videos/diagrams - fingers crossed its a simple fix!

Thank you all in advance for your time. I am very sorry if I missed a post in the forums that already addressed this issue.
