VGRC3656BBSS Viking gas oven burners sputter or are very low

Hi, I year ago I replaced my igniters on my Viking Range Model VGRC3656BBSS because I was having problems with the oven. The oven was not getting to temp and the igniter was lighting but flame was really low . All was great for a while but then my originally problem resurfaced. My igniters light but the flame then greatly diminishes. It happens a lot but not always. Some one mentioned replacing the safety valve. Do you have a source, video or directions on this?

VED0530BU Viking double oven electrical issue

My Viking VED0530BU is having a strange problem with the oven lights. I replaced the bulbs in the upper oven and now the upper oven lights only come on when the lower oven door is open. The switch on the upper oven doesn’t control anything. If you want light in the oven you must open the bottom door. Any thoughts from the Viking guys?

VGIC305-4BS Viking gas oven burners sputter or are very low

I'm not sure if you guys analyze gas appliances but here goes.my old Viking oven was one day very slow to preheat.
it seemed that one of the burner tubes was throwing full flame but the other would sputtter (especially when I opened the door) and die to nothing.

removing the burner tube on the side that had died, the tube itself seemed enlarged at the point where the ignitor attaches (so where it takes most heat I presume) and the boles there seemed enlarged and a bit cracked. (I don't...

Guys, what's the most reliable INDUCTION RANGE brand?

Guys, I am looking to buy a new induction range. I am trying to figure out which company makes most reliable induction ranges. I don't want to spend a fortune on it so my limit would be around $2500. What are your suggestions guys?

Thanks

Bosch cooktop electrode malfunction

Hello,
I have the Bosch Gas Cooktop NGMP655UC. By the way, I would not recommend buying a cooktop from Bosch. The unit is 4 years old and the screws attaching the burners to the top are all corroded and the 2 screws I tried to remove just snapped.
I have the following issue with the cooktop. Of the 5 burners, the 4 in the corners are working fine - they light up when you turn the knob, and then the igniter goes off. With the central burner (the one we use most because it's the only one...

Please help opening/debugging Thermador Professional and igniters

Hi, I can really use your help to fix the igniters on our “Thermador Professional” 6-burner gas cooktop.

The house we moved into has an old gas cooktop, 6 burners. I've looked everywhere for a model number and I cannot find it, but it looks like this:

View attachment 55771

Gas flows normally to all burners and I can light them all with a match.
The front and back burners share a single igniter, so there are 3 igniters.
The igniter can...

EH3012SCH Dacor, Replace control board

I got my control board replacment and removed the front 4 screws from the top panel. I can't easily get it to come down. It seems blocked by the back panel. Dacor's manual has no such diagram or instructions for how these interlock. Any ideas?

Thermador wall oven SMW272YW relay replacement part number needed

Broiler will come on but not the bake element. Circuit board not available so it's either fix the board or replace the whole oven. Problem is probably a power relay: Omron G8P-UA-006206, is 30A 250VAC. I can't find a replacement and apparently Omron doesn't make one with this part number any more. Another forum post gave a replacement relay for a very similar relay ending in 006203 for a Frigidaire wall oven. The new number is G8P-1A4 ... something like that. Difference is in the coil...

Older Sears gas oven 50 degrees off with new sensor

Hi thanks for reading.

I have an older Sears gas range / oven with an electronic arrow up & down oven control panel. I have replaced the temp sensor that sit completely (screws are also) inside the oven, Wires go through the oven wall to the back. Others, I know most are mounted on the outside back wall of the oven, not this one.

The calibration is only 35 degrees which leave the reading 15 to 20 degrees low. Read 370 at 350 actual average temp. The temp swings are limited to 10 degrees...

YRMF3130VM2 McClary Oven Overheating

Hello,

My 20yo+ McClary oven started overheating recently, and when I opened up the back panel I saw that one of the contacts on the thermostat had partially melted.

The part doesn't seem to made available anywhere online. Maybe there are some repair shops in the area that would have it, but is there a universal replacement part I could get instead?

This is all I've found: amresupply.com/part/12326948

Smelling gas intermittently on Electrolux range

Hi everyone, hoping someone with some expertise in the field can give me some guidance here. I've read through every thread I could find on the subject but still haven't found a solution.

The issue is, when the oven reaches temperature IE 350F and shuts off, and then after say 2-5 minutes it kicks back on to maintain temperature and thereafter every 2-4 minutes until the oven is switched off. During this re-heating, sometimes you can get a whiff of gas from the top vent of the oven...

Viking VGIC305-4BSS 30 has 3 problems - please help!!!

Hi guys,

I've been trying to find information about repair of viking range and ovens and came across this site. I hope you guy will be able to help out.

My now 10 years old viking VGIC305-4BSS 30 has had its oven igniters replaces a couple of times by me. I usually order the genuine spare parts and do the dirty work to save on the outrageously expensive viking technical repairs.

My oven wouldn't heat up properly and after a while it wasn't igniting, so I figured the igniters had to be...

Kenmore range wires

We have a Kenmore range with a burned out wire at the control panel. The heat melted the crimp connector into the plastic holder for the five wires that connect the wire harness to the panel. Only the oven wire melted, the rest are fine. We replaced the panel but can’t find a replacement for the wire harness. If we connect the wire without the plastic piece that holds all five wires, do we need to cover the connections with something? Like a shrink wrap insulator?
