Replacement Tension Clip for Dacor ERV3615 Downdraft Hood

This is a now discontinued hood so parts are either impossible to get or very very expensive. The downdraft hood uses removable metal grill filters that are held in place with tension clips. One of the filters has lost its clip. Rather than buying a whole new filter for $131 not including shipping, I'm hoping to find or fabricate a replacement tension clip.

The filter itself is 14" wide x 5 7/8" tall. The clip is 2 9/16" long and the part of the tang that inserts into the filter is 1/8"...

Thermador SCD302TP - F2, F5 error after Self Clean in top ov

Hi guys,

Thermador SCD302TP

So I finally got my oven working after replacing the relays on the relay board so I ran a self clean on both the top and bottom oven. Bottom oven still works fine after the self clean, but the Top oven is now throwing 2 different codes - sometimes it's F2, sometimes it's F5 and I also got an F3 today as well!

I checked the thermal fuse and it's not engaged. I also tried a "hard reset", but flipping the breaker and leaving it off for 30 minutes. Still got the...

HBL8450 Bosch Oven Heating Woes -- Normal?

We are pretty frustrated because we bought a new HBL8450 oven and a new microwave (several thousand dollars worth) only 18 months ago and we’ve had numerous issues. We could really use some advice right now to determine if this behavior below is normal. Perhaps if someone can explain what’s expected...or needed for repair.

We’ve confirmed the following with TWO brands of oven thermometers, but we started down this path many months ago when we noticed our cakes weren’t baking correctly and...

Viking Oven Igniter Failing after recent replacement.

Hello! Thank you for reading my post.

I have a VIKING VGIC365-4Qss range/oven, serial number R06150113261. It was made in June, 2001. One of the two oven burners is not igniting.

I suspect there is a problem with the igniter or the gas tube or both.

Short circuit in Hardwick Range H31103SAW

I have a Hardwick gas range whos 120 volt circuit was struck by lightning during a thunderstorm. The circuit operates the stove eye, oven and broiler igniters. It is now shorted. I first learned this when the GFCI receptacle it is on had tripped. I can unplug the oven from the receptacle and am able to reset the receptacle. Can someone help me troubleshoot what components on this oven circuit that could be shorted so I can use my stove burner, oven and broiler igniters again? Thank you...

VIKING VGIC365-4Qss Burner Ignition Issues

Hello! I would be grateful for any assistance.

I have a VIKING VGIC365-4Qss, serial number R06150113261. It was made in June, 2001. Most of the parts are original.

I'm having a problem with the RANGE (oven is fine). Over the last few months, the burners have gradually not been lighting well. Only 2 burners out of 5 are sparking regularly. I replaced both spark modules, the one that lights the left 2 burners, and the one that lights the right two burners and the grill.

At first, I...

Viking VGS300-4BDWH oven struggles to heat up

Hi there, the place I rent has a Viking VGS300-4BDWH oven/stove in it.

The oven seems to take way too long to heat up, sometimes never even reaching the desired temp. This morning I set it to 400* (hoping to get to 350*), and 50min later it was only up to 325*. This model has a dial/knob adjustment for the temp and no actual temperature readout, but I have my own thermometer inside the oven that I use to verify temps. When cooking a sheet of bacon, I also noticed that half seemed to cook...

Thermador SCD302TP Clock touch button doesn't work - any ideas?

Hey guys,

The "clock" button doesn't work on my Thermador SCD302TP touch panel. Every other button does. What could it be? Any ideas for a repair, or just live with it?

IBS330PWM00 Ikea wall oven bake function starts broiler

I have an Ikea wall oven that is activating the broiler when I select bake. I've checked the temperature sensor, normal resistance (1000 ohm). Continuity for both bake and broil elements is ok. Display and function selector (a dial) operate normally and do not show any error code. I suspect the problem is the main oven control board (?relay board WP8304380 $300) but want to be sure it is not the control panel control (WP8303093 $175). Any help will be appreciated.

Thermador SC302 - Only broiler works in bottom oven - How to test for relay issues?

Hi guys,

I just moved into a place and it came with a nice Thermador model SC302 Double wall oven. The oven had one issue which I have already repaired, which was a dim display (capacitors were dead)

PART NUMBERS: 2 x 470 uf 35V, and one 68 uf 35v. (in the end I only replaced 1x470uf 35v because the LED board is in the way of the second one... replacing the 2 seems to have brought the display back to life though.)

The previous owner of the home said the oven doesn't work, only the broiler...

VDSC530 Viking oven tripping breaker

Our 10 year old Viking oven (VDSC530-4BSS) started tripping the breaker. There is no similar problem with the burner igniters or oven light. Should I replace the heating element and hope for the best, or call a professional? Thanks.

HG18054UC BOSCH OVEN IGNITER REPLACEMENT: HOW ACCESS WHERE 2 WIRES INSERT?

BOSCH OVEN IGNITER HAS FAILED IT SEEMS. GOT NEW REPLACEMENT. BUT TWO WIRES NEED DISCONNECTED FROM BEHIND REAR INNER VERTICAL WALL OF OVEN. DO I NEED TO GO THROUGH BACK SIDE OF OVEN TO REPLACE IGNITER, INSERT THE WIRES? THESE ARE NOT THE WIRE END TPES THAT ONE CONNECTS THROUGH 'CONE' SCREW TYPE.

Should the hot wire be attached to the thermostat controller or the heating element terminals?

The electrical cord on my Holmes Ceramic Heater (HCH-4051) frayed at the entry point to the heater and while removing the frayed cord, I forgot to pair (mark) the wires on both sides of the enclosure before snipping the cord.

Upon inspection, I determined one wire from the electrical cord went directly to heating element terminals and the other wire went first to a thermostat controller, then to a hi-temp trip switch, and final to a mode controller; i.e., an OFF/Fan Only/Low Heat/High Heat...

Should the hot wire be attached to the rheostat or the heating elements?

The electrical cord on my Holmes Ceramic Heater (HCH4061) frayed at the entry point to the heater.

While removing the frayed cord, I forgot to pair (mark) the wires on both sides of the enclosure before snipping the cord. So, now I do not know if the hot wire should be attached to the rheostat or to the heating elements (see image below).

I am not even sure if it matters, but if it does, I am going to guess the hot wire goes to the heating elements and the neutral wire goes to the...
