R286-186-IR Garland Stove - oven breaks bad

Hi all. New here. I have a garland stove model R286-186-IR four burner with griddle, 36". The oven no longer ignites. I cannot find a parts list, nor does anyone appear to service garland/bluestar stoves in my area of central New York. I believe it is the igniter. I pulled it, it has no part numbers on it anywhere. I can find, on amazon, of course, many different igniters that seem to be the same, though dimensions vary. Is one any different from others? Can I use something for a frigidaire...

Viking Oven Won't Stop Heating

I have a 18 year old 48" Viking VGSC486-6Q Gas Oven with Grille. The six burners, the grill, the left oven and the right broiler all work perfectly. The problem is with the right oven. Please keep in mind that this problem occurs only intermittently.

DCS RGV305n Range

I have a DCS RGV305N Range that I need to change MTG BLOCK ASSY RG 30 TEMP OEM 245753. The knob will not go to off and the broiler will not come on. How do you remove the control panel with the knobs. It has 2 screws under the panel but that does seem to remove anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are DACOR gas cooktops made by Samsung?

We bought a 36" Dacor gas cooktop recently during BF week. It's not delivered yet. Dacor p/n DTG36P875NS.

Noticed it looked identical to the Samsung cooktop. I think the only difference was the color of the LED's on the knobs. The Dacor was about $200-$300 cheaper at the time compared to the identical Samsung.

I know Samsung bought Dacor a few years back, so is Dacor making the gas cooktops for Samsung or is Samsung rebranding their cooktops as Dacor?

Replacing 17 year old GE Cooktop - all new ones are different dimensions

Our GE gas cooktop is done as far as we are concerned. Grates have been chipping for many years ($200+ shipping to re-porcelain them). Igniters on one side are iffy. Burners have discolored over the years. Wife wants a new one. We removed the top trim to measure the hole and found that the hole measures 21" deep. In checking the installation specs, it says +/- 1/16th of an inch.

Samsung Stovetop Element

The left rear element on my Samsung stove stopped working. It tested bad so I replaced it. Still doesn’t work. And now the hot stovetop light stays on all the time. I swapped controls with another working element. No luck. I rechecked the connections. They all look right.
I must admit I’m stumped at this point.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Viking Stove - Oven will not light

Viking stove 30" model # VGCC5304BSS. Been thru recalls and survived that, really up to now we have not had an issue BUT now the Oven will not light, no spark clicking, nothing. Wife was baking and it just refused to relight. I tried to read up as much as I could but I am hopeful someone can direct me on a fix for this beast. Stove top works fine clicks and lights right away. any ideas?

Viking VGSC305-4BDSS one oven burner won’t lite

Hi all, I have a VGSC305-4BDSS Viking I converted to Natural. Owner I bought it from had LP and complained that the oven didn’t get hot enough for baking. Well the right oven bake burner doesn’t work. Left works fine, but right has no gas going to it. Igniters on both work perfect. But when gas valve opens there is no gas going to the right side orifice if you cover with finger. Wondering if gas valve went bad? Anyone experience this?

I suspect that my oven was never wired correctly but need to figure out what the correct wiring might be. Are the two igniters supposed to be tied together in series then go to the gas valve? Right now I am able to dmm measure a 120VAC connection from the right of the oven to one side of the dual gas valve, and there is another 12-13VAC connection from the right of the oven to the other side of the gas valve. The two igniters were tied in series across the 120vac and would both burn bright...
