Maytag Gemini Lower Oven Won't Heat Properly

I have a Maytag Gemini oven (Model MER6875AAS). The bottom element in the lower oven burned out in dramatic fashion with flames and a sizzling noise. It even tripped the breaker. We flipped the breaker back on and the stovetop, upper oven, and broiler in bottom oven all seem to be working fine. We ordered a replacement element and installed it today. It turns on, but the oven won't heat above 220 degrees. The box the element arrived in was damaged and the element seems slightly bent, but I wouldn't think that would really cause a problem. Any ideas as to what our problem could be?

help with lg oven

My oven will not keep a constant temperature. I tried changing the thermostat but it did not help. When I turn the oven on to 350 ,the 3 beeps will ring but the temp will be 300-325. I tried adjusting the temp as it states in the manual but it will not maintain the set temp.

What else can I try. Will changing the control board work?

Oven doesn't work

Hello all.

New to this forum.
Never posted before.
Ok.
GE-XL44 Oven.
Model JGBP28TED2WW.
All 4 ranges on top work.
Broiler works.
Oven doesn’t work.

All the research I’ve done tells me the “Igniter” is defective.

Questions?

How could the igniter be defective and the broiler still work?

Are the 2 igniters?

If so where is the second igniter?

I have the oven apart and only see one igniter?

Thank you in advance.

Wiring a Whirlpool Combo Wall Oven – 8/4 AWG armored whip is too short

Just purchased a Kitchen-Aid combo wall oven, model #KOCE507EBS. Comes with a pre-wired 8/4 AWG whip that is only 4′ long. However, it’s about 6-8″ too short, if you have a box located BELOW the oven. It is more than enough length, if box is located in cabinet ABOVE the oven. Installation instruction specifically say if box is BELOW the oven, it should be located a max. of 3″ below base of oven. However, the whip ends don’t even reach the bottom of the oven chassis. This was shipped direct from Kitchen Aid, so I know someone didn’t modify or shorten it. Why would they not extend the wires by 6-12″ so it would accomodate most any wiring arrangement – just doesn’t make sense. Whip runs horizontally across a "step" on back of oven and meant to run down RH side of oven, apparently "up" or "down" RH side.
Romex conduit is clamped to "step" on back of oven, and removing clamp does not really help extend useful length of conduit to RH bottom corner of cabinet. Anyway, the question is, what is the best way to “extend” the whip by 8″ or so? Really should be significantly longer in order to easily slide oven in/out of cabinet.

I looked at various electric distributors/warehouses, and don’t see any 5ft or 6ft armored whips in this wire guage. I really don’t have room between the oven and the back cabinet wall for a junction box (very narrow one). I could obviously buy wire and a roll of armor shielding and create my own to the proper length, but wondering if there was a more ready-made solution. What do other people in the trade do with the Whirlpool/KitchenAid/Jenn-Air ovens that are apparently ALL like this? Looking for some actual assistance and installation assistance, other than the standard answer “call an electrician”. Please let me know how any of you would approach this. Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide.

Gas leak in oven valve

I found myself this morning with the (very literal) headache of a gas leak. Smell led me to the oven of my old stove. I removed the main pipe from the oven valve, applied soap to the valve exit, and it bubbles slowly alright. I don't ever use the oven, so I don't care for replacing the valve. So...

1. What easy ways to seal it are tehre? I don't mind messing the pipe in the process.
2. The pilot exit from the valve lets out a lot of gas, is that normal? I know it has a safety valve on the igniter, and it seems to be working (no bubbles on the pilot), but shouldn't the main valve close both pipes?

Thanks in advance.

LG Stove Burner Issue

I have an LG glass top stove (can't access the model# at the moment, sorry). When I turn on the back right burner, the front right burner comes on as well, and I can't turn the front burner off unless I turn the back one off. When I turn on the front burner by itself, none of the other burners come on. Everything on the stove is digital, so there are no knobs to turn. We tried pulling the plug for a few minutes then plugging it back in, but that didn't help.

LGR3081 LG Oven reaches temp then won’t reignite

My LG oven reaches temperature but then won’t reignite, tested the heat sensor and reads 1078 the igniter looks good as well no cracks. I have shut the oven off even cut power and can’t get it to reignite until the temp is at 100 then I have to hit start and it will do the same thing get to desired temp and shut off, the igniter is glowing during the cool down so it’s trying to ignite, on a side note this model has convection oven as well and the fan quit working about a year ago any thoughts on what to try next.
Thanks

conversion of drop-in rangetop to LP butane

I have a new (sept. 18, 2018) Frigidaire stove top, model fgc30s4dcb in a house that is completely off-grid. The rangetop has four burners that are not burning properly. All burners have little adjustment, have yellow in the Flame occasionally, and the smallest burner is weak and puts lampblack on pots. I do not trust the tech that was supposed to have converted it to lp butane. Is there a kit with good instructions? Can you identify the jet sizes that are supposed to be used in this cooktop with Butane? I am willing to buy the kit and install it myself, but I cannot find the correct Jet size to use for the burners. Is there a pressure regulator that needs to be adjusted? Where would it be located in a drop-in cooktop? Any help that you can provide will be appreciated since the house is located in a remote area and getting a service tech out is virtually impossible.Thank you.

wall oven wont heat up

I have a wall mounted GE double oven. I have had an issue recently where the upper oven works completely fine, however the lower oven does not. If i turn it on to either bake or broil it will go on for a few moments and then shut itself off. The digital display works fine. There are no error messages. I dont think it is even heating up on the lower. I replaced the broiler element as i thought it might be the issue but no change.

Samsung Range/Oven NE595R0ABSR/AA LCD Broken numbers

Hello I have this Oven range NE595R0ABSR/AA.
We have broken numbers in this piece DE92-03045F. We bought the piece and the the company sent us 4 pieces and all the 4 new ones are the screen black and you don’t hear clack sound at the beginning. Each time we place the old one with broken numbers you hear clack and the clock is on, of course with broken numbers, but immediately turns on. But the company, sent 4 pieces and all pieces are wrong dead without hear clack at the beginning is rare no? Or what could be the problem? If I buy in samsung again the piece DE92-03045F what will happen, the same, dead screen or is there something to do?

Or what is the piece that corresponds similar to DE92-03045F or any link to another place with the correct one? But is there something to do when you change it because 4 pieces with same kind of error, I don’t believe that, that 4 pieces dead screen and no clack sound when you plug to the wall the range. And the old one, broken numbers, but when you return to the range and when you plug to the wall the range immediately there is the clack sound and the clock comes alive with the broken numbers, but there it is on. Then what could be the problem? 4 defective pieces? Or is there something to do? Or what piece I buy? In samsung and the appliances stores according with serial number they conclude that the DE92-03045F, but maybe is needed to activate something? I can’ believe 4 pieces came with problem and when you place the old one from factory runs in a second very well.

Thank you
