I want to build a house working kitchen for my new business. I bought an oven and hired a sparky to fit that in the kitchen. But he said wrong wires and fuses were fitted. So I am planning to install all the wires and fuses. Before that, I just want to clarify something. I plan on using a 4.7KW double built-in oven. The kitchen has a 2.5 cable with a 40A breaker, but the manufacturer says in its description that it needs a 20A breaker. Which one will it ideally need? Before I hire an...

Viking oven not able to get to higher temperatures?

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Viking Professional range/oven that is not working properly. The gas burners work normally. With the oven, when you turn the knob to 400, for example, you hear an initial whoosh of gas, and it starts to heat up. However, instead of hearing further periodic bursts of gas and reaching temperature, the oven just hovers around 250 degrees. Easy cook thermostat adjustments

Anyone have a idea how to adjust this . Temperature on two units are 65 degrees out. Manufacturers have told me they can adjust. But Im in Remote Western Australia so its a mission to send them back and will take weeks. Have already exchanged one unit . New one arrived with exactly the same issue.

Kitchenaid KGRS202BSS Stove cycling and not staying lit

Hello,
I have a Kitchenaid model number KGRS202BSS and I am having a problem with the oven staying lit. The oven cycles, releasing gas and lights but only stays lit for a few seconds. I believe it has a bad oven igniter part #wpw10324262. I removed the bottom floor pan with the door shut and I see the pilot lit but it doesn't stay on. The broiler works fine.

Please let me know if this would be the problem.

Dacor RV36 vent not working (again)

So we have a Dacor RV36 raised vent (downdraft) that isn't working. It stopped working once before during a power outage a couple of years ago, but then started working again after another power outage (weird).

Anyway, about a year ago it stopped working and the service guy said it isn't worth repairing as it would cost as much as a new unit. That may be true, if I pay his service rates, but if I do it myself it may be worthwhile. Also, we thought we'd be replacing our kitchen by now but...

HIIP054C Bosch oven meat probe not recognized

The meat probe on my VERY expensive Bosch HIIP054C slide-in induction oven does not register when it's plugged in (usually...there's the odd time where it comes on after being plugged in and the oven has been cooking for a while).
I gather I'll need to test the connectivity of the female socket in the oven, but wonder whether the probe might have gone bad. (I have never put it in the dishwasher or under water).
Any advice on how to get started?

MCS130S Dacor oven doesn't heat even though heating element is good

Hi, I have a 7 year old Dacor Millennia wall oven (Model number MSC130S) which my wife tells me takes too long to heat up.

Broil element glows red, but not the bake element. Bake element measures 25 ohms, and appears to be in good shape. Volt meter on the wires which connected to the back element before I removed it seems to transition between 4 and 40 volts.

Recommendations? Thank you

Bosch Oven Timer Locked

We have a newer Bosch Double oven with the Right-hand Swing Doors. My wife does a lot of baking and loves that she doesnt have to reach over the hot doors to get things in and out of tbe oven. Only major flaw with this oven is there is something wrong with the built in Kitchen Timer feature. It has gotten itself locked on 4 minutes and is frozen. Can't clear it without turning the main power off from the circuit breaker (shouldnt have to do that with a new appliance!). Bosch cant figure...

I have control issues with a Kobe Rane Hood. The control unit has 5 buttons, when the light switch is pressed, it may turn off the power and vise versa. This happens after I clean the range hood using simple greens, possible the control unit. Initially the range hood works fine after cleaning. Few hours later, all buttons stopped working. The next day, the light and power button works, but acts wired. One of the fan up switch stopped working.

Bosch oven (HDI7282U/07) does not turn on but range works

The screen shut off on the oven a few days ago. Nothing happens when buttons are pressed. Checked circuit breaker -- not tripped but cycled it and no change.

Range still works perfectly.

I suspect it's either the control board or display module but I'm not sure how to determine which it is and they cost more than $200 apiece.
