Change my Smeg oven from display mode

Hi,

I recently bought a new Smeg wall oven (model SFPA6300X). When I bought it the salesman said it was in display/demonstration mode and my electrician will be able to change it over no problem. I checked the manual and it explains how to get the oven out of 'demo' mode but there is no power to it at all. My electrician has confirmed the power is working. When I went back to the packaging from the store there's a note saying "DISPLAY OVEN: Clock relay + thermostat have been disconnected".

I have search Smeg forums to see if I can find more information but have had no luck. Wondering if anyone knows how to connect the 'clock relay and the thermostat' and if its easy enough to do myself or will I need someone (an electrician) to come in and fix it??

New to me, Tappan Deluxe gas oven

I just acquired an old Tappan Deluxe gas oven/range, does anyone know anything about these? I don't see a safety valve on it for the pilot lights, is this really safe to use, or should I shut the gas off every time i'm not using the oven? A co-worker told me the pilots on it doesn't put out enough gas to be dangerous if it should go out, I'm having a hard time with that answer. any help would be appreciated.

FE-R400SW Samsung Electric Range - LED display problem & flashing oven light

Hello,

I have a Samsung Electric Range (FE-R400SW), about 5 years old. It is in a unoccupied suite and has barely ever been used. The LED control panel is faint/dim and not displaying properly. Also, when I open the oven door, the oven light flashes on and off quickly 5-10 times accompanied by a clicking sound, like a relay. Otherwise, it seems to work.

I'm wondering if this might be a quick DIY fix (i.e.: controller board swap)? Would this part be expensive?

I really don't need the stove and would be happy to sell it but wouldn't want to pass off something that is potentially dangerous. I keep it unplugged for the time being.

Any thoughts or experiences with this?

Thanks!

Samsung NX58K9850SS - No display and igniter clicking

Hi All -

I used the oven yesterday without an issue. Today I've only used the stovetop - don't think I used the touch screen at all - and shortly after cooking the igniter started clicking and I noticed the panel was completely unresponsive. Can't do anything. Tried unplugging and turning off the circuit for a minute. Still nothing. Any suggestions? New home owner. Have only had this thing since October and really don't want to pay for maintenance.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

How to remove the oven door? There are no screws in the hinge to the door, but will not lift off? Thanks for help.
