shrimp disaster

Still trying to fix the oven after a flood event caused by about a gallon or more of boiling hot shrimp water being spilled all over the range. The stove still works but the spill caused everything else to black out.

So far I have replaced:

The master control board
The display panel
Oven thermostat

Just replacing the master control board did nothing. But, once I also replaced the display panel the oven came back to life and started "trying" to work.

Here's what I mean by trying: Now when I select BAKE at 350 and click START, the fan comes on and about one out of 3 times the gas will actually ignite. However, when the gas does ignite, it only stays lit for 5-15 seconds. That's why I changed out the thermostat (which had no effect). Seems like the gas just turns itself off before the oven ever begins to warm up. Oven door open vs closed doesn't seem to matter, it's just quitting on me.

There must be an electronic part or parts somewhere between the control board and the oven that still needs replacing. Something that would have been flooded by the water or shorted out during that catastrophic event.

If it helps to know, the BROIL function seems to be totally inoperable right now. Looks like it has both gas and electric hoop hardware up there but none of that is doing anything when you tell it to broil.

HELP!!!

Thanks - Dan

Vintage Wedgwood Propane "RV" stove --> to Natural Gas?

Hello all! I have a 1938 cabin with a vintage (age unknown, appears 50's) Wedgewood RV stove. It is propane, and I am curious if I can easily convert to natural gas? Built in to the cabinet, so Id prefer a little info before I start jerking things apart haha. Ive seen a regulator that is said to allow you to swap without changing orifices, but I find this hard to believe... any help would be appreciated!Attachment 39211Attachment 39212

HBL8651UC/01 Bosch Double Oven - Excessive Temperature Fluctuation

Greetings, all. Problems with a Bosch Double Oven, model HBL8651UC/01.

Out of warranty, about 2 years old. Since day one, my wife has suggested the temps seem inconsistent. Admittedly, I didn't take it very seriously and assumed it was just a matter of getting used to a new oven. We don't bake a lot.

We've a visitor staying with us who loves to bake, and immediately noticed the same thing. We've done some testing, and there does indeed appear to be an issue.

Armed with a ThermoWorks Oven Probe, we tested both the upper and lower ovens and had essentially the same results in both.

- Pre-heat to 350 worked as expected, taking the temps up to 365 before cycling off

- Both ovens drop clear to 295-300 before cycling on, again shutting off at 365

I called the only Bosch service within 100 miles, and they couldn't even advise if the above behavior was normal or not. They told me to call Bosch.

I did so, and they basically said it sounds off - but only a service technician would know for sure. They referred me back to the Bosch service center that couldn't advise if a problem exists or not.

I've skills to dig into this myself with a little guidance, but before considering that - can anyone confirm that this is indeed, excessive temperature swing? And if so, what a short list of possible fixes might be?

Thanks much.

Double Oven Display blank

Whirlpool GBD307PDB09 Double oven. Display panel was blank and the oven light worked. It would make some beeping sounds (short, long, short, short, short). I reset breaker and then it said error code E6 F2. I then turned the breaker off for a longer period and when it came on it was fine. Then after a bit, it's back to being blank. Should I take panel off and look for any damage behind and clean? with the breaker off of course. Thanks

HGS3052UC/01 Bosch Gas Oven Temp Off 50 to 75 Degrees

Bosch gas oven model HGS3052UC/01 runs 50 to 75 degrees below setpoint. I need some help on diagnosing the problem. Is there a calibration to adjust or ohm readings to check on the sensor? Any help is appreciated.

RBD305PRS00 Whirlpool Died, was alive, died, now alive again...any tips?

Hi All, my whirlpool gold double oven has been acting up. About a month ago, the display went blank. Pressing buttons on the control panel resulted in one beep, then 3 short beeps, like an error code. I did some research and found a great thread on there about changing out the caps, and checking for broken traces on some large resistors as well as cold solder joints. I asked some questions in the threads I found, but didn't get any responses, maybe because they are so old.

Anyway, the control board is no longer available. There are services where you can send it out, but the possible fix seemed easy enough, so I went in. I'm good with electronics and circuit boards.

I replaced the following 5 caps, buying them from Mouser.com:
C34 & C50: UHE2A101MPD
C11: UHE1H102MHD6
C54: ULD1H330MED1TD
C6: ULD1H2R2MDD1TD

I also found the very large resistor had lifted, but was still in contact with the trace, so I secured it and put it all back together. The oven fired right up and worked great. For 2 weeks. Then the display went out again. Same result, a single beep and then 3 beeps. That was a couple of days ago. This morning, while in the kitchen (I haven't got back to it), I noticed the display was alive again. WTH. Anyway, it was showing error code E6 F2. I will google this to see what it means.

But I was able to set the clock (error seemed to clear) and start the ovens. Not sure how long it will last, but either there is a loose connection or possibly the ribbon cable of the membrane panel isn't seated fully (I can check).

I'm open to any advice or guidance. I hate to throw the ovens away. They are 12 years old, but like new. And my cabinets are only 23.5" deep, and most new ovens seem to require 24", so it makes the project a bit more complicated than just sliding a new one in. Plus, The $2000 for the new oven setup.

Thanks!

Broan Range Hood Evolution 3 QP3 Series

So how about Range Hoods? I have a Broan Evolution 3 series range hood my wife is convinced that it is possessed. However, I don't find an area for range hoods or range hood problems--not under stoves/ranges, or HVAC.

If a mod could point me to the right sub-forum, I'll describe the issues and ask for help on this.

QP330SS is full model number, just found it.......

Oven does not click when turning knob

Hello, last month my 6 burner Premier stove would not not click to ignite & would randomly click when off so I changed the spark module & all was good for a month until yesterday. All surface burners click & ignite but the oven/broil knob does not. The oven can light up if i open the oven knob and simultaneously open any burner knob, but it will not click. My question is can this be ignition switch harness or the oven electrode? I called Premiere and they gave me the part numbers but I wanted to be sure before I order. The stove is close to 12-15 years old. Thanks.
