NX58K3310SS Clock on Samsung Range resetting when burner turns on

I went into the kitchen and noticed my clock blinking as if there were a power outage, except nothing else was blinking.
Later on that day when I went to cook something I heard a bell and when I looked up the clock was blinking again, this happened to me five or six times before I realized that when I turned on the burner of the stove it was resetting the clock, & a quick Google search showed me that I was not the only one this happened to- although on different Appliance brands. I called Samsung but they said if I couldn't recreate the problem with the technician at my house there was little they could do.. I called the appliance repair to see if they had heard of this problem and they have not...I reset the breaker.. I can't really pull the stove and unplug it because the plug is really short and it's at the bottom of the range..

Does anybody know what this is?

It doesn't happen every time only randomly

VGIC365_6BSS Viking Stove - Likely Cause for Sudden Change in Appearance of All Burners?

I have a 6 burner viking stove that is 10+ years old. Last night I noticed that all of the burners appear to be too high and are much more yellow than I would like. Prior to this, the burners were all calibrated correctly with stable blue flames.

Each burner has its own air intake mixing port, so I doubt they would all become mis-calibrated at once.

The flames also seem too high and lacking sufficient oxygen. Even turning down the value, the yellow flames don't go away until the flame is nearly out.

I have never seen this behavior before. But my guess is that the pressure regulator is broken or stuck open.

Is a broken regulator the proper diagnosis of this?

Are regulators repairable, maybe there is just debris in there?

Or should I just replace the whole regulator?

Gas everywhere except in bake oven

I bought this range in 2013 at Ferguson in Honolulu with an federal warranty service valid till 2018. I barely used my gas oven , maybe 15 times in the last 5 years as I am away 6 months a year . Last March, because my main control indicated things were not working properly-nothing related to this present problem , the technician said he would replace it with a new one covered by my warranty. I did that. After, I used it one or 2 times, my oven lit up, but took longer than usual.

Then I left my place for 6 months to travel. Last November : surprise , the bake igniter sparked but no gas comes out. My broil igniter works well however. A technician came back and changed the igniter and spark module. Nothing worked and on the topo that, my broil igniter couldn’t light with the new spark module. So they put back my initial spark module and my initial igniter. They tried to light my bake with a match: impossible , no gas came out . I can use my cooktop range and my broil oven but not my bake oven .

After this, they said : the problem might be the safety gas dual valve. Could it be really this piece ? Can it be because I don’t use it for a long period of time and it is humid climate ... And why my control board doesn’t show me an error code ? Can the problem be related to the main control board, the one they replaced last March ?

Also, they ordered a new igniter: piece W11113650 , which is supposed to be the good one for my model , and it doesn’t fit at all : too big for the holder . Connection fits , but can not pass through the holder. Company doesn’t know about that they told me : it is the right piece number .

And , if I really have to replace the gas valve , is it a big job ? Or is it possible to fix this valve with lubrification , cleaning ... ?

Thanks for your help.

LDE4415ST LG Electric Double Oven power completely went out

Bought an LG Double Oven. It was an open box from Best Buy. Just after 3 months, we were using both ovens when the power completely went out. Repair tech thought it might be the motherboard. Checking parts list that appears to be the "pcb main assembly"? Anyone else have that issue? Is that an easy part to replace? Model LDE4415ST

Help finding Whirlpool stove burner control knob?

Can't get to the model number, so this will be an interesting exercise...

I bought a house in Cabo San Lucas, MX and the Whirlpool stove is about 6-10 years old, possible a couple of years older even. One of the burner control knobs is broken and I'm looking for a replacement. It doesn't necessarily have to match. If it will work, I'm good with that. I've posted some pictures of the stove, and one of the working knobs so you can see the parts and hopefully point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Oven and Broiler will not light - no gas, but DSI board is good

Problems began with the broiler shutting itself off about a minute. The bake function worked fine. After about a week of restarting the broiler, both broil and bake functions went dead and will not heat. Had a chance to try my DSI board on a friend's identical stove and it functioned fine. Got a copy of Whirlpool's DSI troubleshooting guide and determined that the main circuit board was supplying 120V to the DSI board, connector J1, pins 6 & 7. But the DC power to the safety gas valve was not there on either broil or bake measured at J1, pins 1,2&3. Next measured the resistance of the gas valve solenoid coils at the J1 connector at pins 2,3 and 1,2 and both measure about 200 ohms. When turning on the broil or oven, you hear the relays click and it sparks 4 times before quitting, but there is no gas flow. The DSI troubleshooting guide mentions that the the DSI board self-tests and then provides spark and opens valve. For some reason the DSI board is not providing the DC power to the gas valve, but when we install that "bad" board in another stove it works fine. I'm wondering if somehow the main circuit board is involved in this action and it could be faulty? Any one have any ideas about where to go next??

GE Profile: tri-ring 12" radiant element cycle on and off at HIGH

Hello,
Since yesterday, the front-right (biggest, 3 zones) radiant element is cycling off and on (at HIGH), with or without anything on top. When I turn on the switch (any zone) at HI, it will come on briefly and then turns off after few seconds. I can hear clicks from the infinite switch control and surface burner, while the heat comes on and off. Do you think it's a faulty infinite control switch or is the element's limiter ? Thanks a lot !

Bosch HBL8650CU/07 need help w/ my double oven-

Guys,

So for about a month the oven would loose it's Date function and at the same time the bake cycle would stop. Now it displays 4 vertical slash marks which are maybe 1/4 inch long in the upper LH screen. The appliance guy looked at it and didn't instill confidence. I don't see anything burned, probably replace the control panel interface and the control board will most likely fix it. Well, that's like $700 in parts.

First- anyone have similar experience? Maybe I can try replacing just one( got a guess)? I wasn't at home, but somehow the front comes off the double oven. Can someone point me to some instructions? I'm pretty handy with mechanical and electronics. I can test some stuff- inspect for bad capacitors, diodes etc... measure thermometer resistances etc.

Our oven is 7 years old and we cook. Is this possible to just be a failed relay assembly which is $70?

Some advice would be most appreciated.

Error Code - F8E0 Low Fan Speed Underspeed

Hello Everyone,

I got this error code (F8E0 Low Fan Speed Underspeed) a while back, I canceled the oven, and restarted it and it was fine. I did it so fast, I was unable to capture the code. Fast forward a couple months later and it happened again (which I was able to capture the error code). I was able to cancel it, and retry it and it worked fine. I was wondering does anyone know how to fix this issue and is it something a non-pro can do? Thank you for the help!

GE Profile low oven burner flame, slow heating

Our GE Profile oven lights up, but the oven burner flame is weak, maybe only an inch long. Same with the broiler flame. Thus it take 45 minutes to heat up to say 350 degrees. It then has trouble if you want to increase from 350 to 425. It will stop climbing at 365 or so. What controls the flame strength? Is it pressure regulator or the control valve? I replaced the little temperature sensor tube with no change in operation. Top range burners work fine.

NX58H9950WS Samsung oven wont hold temp

Recently temps is dropping after reaching desired temp. For example set oven for 400, reaches 400 then basically shuts heat off while reading 400. Within 5-10 mins oven drops 200 degrees and does not click back up to get back up to 400. Temperature used to go up by 4s and now goes up one degree at a time.

I checked the temp sensor that is in the oven and its reading about 1000 ohms. Im not very electronically savvy but i checked ohms on other wired items and came across this that registered 0 ohms and have no idea what it is....any insight

NX58K9850SG/AA Samsung convection fan making a terrible noise

Well, Samsung oven sat here for awhile before we finally got our house finished and the appliances put in place. Technically, it's a titch over a year old, but I haven't had it installed near a year yet. The convection fan is hitting on something. When I open the door and the fan slows, I can hear it ping on something. I have the single door that can be two doors if the divider is installed in the oven, so I'm currently only using the upper part of the oven (if that makes sense). I don't think it matters, frankly, top or bottom at this point. I think it would make noise regardless. Anyone else with this problem? We are extremely tentative to remove it from its spot because they had a heck of a time getting it placed on the granite....Hopefully there's a way to check for the problem without having to pull it all the way out. Either that, or I won't use it anymore and just stick with the regular gas oven heating. Appreciate any help you can give me.

BOSCH HGS7282UC Self Clean not heating

Morning,

Self Clean feature on BOSH HGS7282UC is not functioning. The door Locks and the broiler ignites and it runs through timed cycle, so oven latch switch should be functioning. However the oven burner does not light, pulled bottom panel and igniter for oven does not turn on. I tried unplugging and same issue. Also verified resistance of oven temp sensor (1083 ohms at room temp, 2 ohm increase with hand on sensor). The oven burner ignites and functions in baking mode, so igniter is functioning. Is there a way to test both the power module and the display control kit, assuming problem is with one of them.

Thanks
Joe

Kitchen aid oven wont light because the DSI tries to light my back left burner instead of oven .....

Hello I have something a little strange happening with my kitchen aid gas range. A few weeks backs I noticed the oven wouldn't come on or would randomly work but more than often just the spark clicking and that's it . So I looked into it and weirdly enough when called upon to bake or broil instead of the spark happening in the oven the spark is happening at the cooktop and tries to light my left back burner which goes on and on like this so I did some troubleshooting and saw that there was smell of gas in oven so I know the gas valve does indeed works but I wouldn't not get my 120 volts at between J1-4and J1-6 on my DSI spark module and 120 volts was not present so I deducted that the ERC board wasn't sending the 120 volts to the DSI ( spark module ) so I went and bought the ERC board feeling pretty confident that would resolve my problem but no same problem still happening anyone as ran into something similar id love to put this issue to rest. I would believe my DSI board to be ok has once in a while the oven does come on and works fine but its pretty random and now that I replaced the ERC board I am puzzled could it be the board behind the clear language display ( touchpad) the graphics shows the proper operation I want but...… The wiring harness didn't seem to show any wear or anything defective I should also mentioned that after installing that ERC board today I also noticed that even when tricking the oven with the door open to run it I have yet to see the convection fan running yet on the display it clearly tells me its on though I am not sure if those two problems are related other than I thought the ERC took care of fan operations and also the oven operations and that the DSI literally just sparked and that it does but its being sent the wrong info as to where to spark I feel and if not from the ERC why is this happening ?

I am a refrigeration mechanic so I fix refrigerators mostly industrials and commercials but I also dabble into residential and I also hold my commercial gas license so its not like a complete boob doing this myself but without any proper tech sheets ( which I cant seem to find for this model ) its been a bit tricky. :)

thanks in advance I hope someone ran into this issue before
