boneheaded move.... maybe there is a fix or workaround.
the FAN/LIGHT switch on this JennAir disintegrated years ago and I have not been able to find a replacement.
So I just left it hanging loose in the cavity.
Last night I was fiddling in there (REMEMBER KIDS: flip the circuit breaker before playing with an electric appliance!) and the red wire (attached photo) touched the chassis and Poof! it all shorted out.
Unfortunately it was not just the circuit breaker. with that reset it still has...
Oooops. shorted out the switch wiring.
