Dacor Gas Burner Base Seized Up

I am looking for advice on how to remove one of the burner bases on my Dacor gas cooktop. The ignitor needs to be changed on this particular burner, but the technician said that over time the heat from using the burner has made it impossible to remove, due to seizing up. The ignitor can not be changed without removing the burner base according to the technician.
