Dacor Cooktop - High altitude NG settings

I have a Dacor PGM-365-1 natural gas cooktop. It is not the high altitude version (above 5000'). We are at 5000'. We have a burner that doesn't work well, apparently due to high gas flow extinguishing the flame resulting in an igniter that comes on at high settings. The parts catalog clearly states that conversion to high altitude is not to be done in the field, but I'm wondering if this is true. As far as I can tell, there are no parts that are marked “high altitude” in the parts catalog. Is it possible to adjust the gas pressure regulator to improve things? Would this help? How is this done?

Samsung electric range - Pop and flash behind and now "cook top on" light stays on

Hello.....I turned on the right front burner and heard a pop and saw a flash behind the range. everything went black. went to the circuit breaker and flipped it back and forth and the range went back on and everything worked. However, the "Cook Top On" light stays on indefinitely even when it is not on. Can I fix this myself or do I need to get a professional to fix this? is it one of the switches? if so, how do i figure out which one? what part do I need to purchase to fix and from where? are there any videos online that will show me how to do this myself? sorry for so many questions :-) thanks in advance for any advice/info.

Viking gas range - 3 Second Delay to spark on Rangetop

We have a Viking gas range top with spark igniters. For years it would continue sparking after the burner lit Typically a longer post sparking cycle after the stovetop was cleaned. Recently the behavior have inverted. Now it will wait 3 seconds after the gas is turned on to spark once. It ignites the first time but the delay is troubling. THe behavior is not burner specific.

I've cleaned and de-greased all the igniters and everything above the stove surface.

Could this be one bad igniter? The igniter controller? loose ground/return and if so where to look?

I'd like to pre-order the parts so I'm not pulling it apart twice.

SM272YS Thermador/Bosch oven will not enter self clean

When starting self clean mode, the door still opens. Is this a faulty door latch or board? Can you change the door latch without pulling the unit out of the cabinets? Screen says self clean started for about 30seconds and the disappears. Thanks for the help!

Frigidaire gas oven won't light

I'll try to keep this short. I had to pressure test the gas line for our home, and got a bit carried away with the amount of pressure I used. Additionally, I did not turn off the supply line valve to the range. When everything was said and done, I damaged the range pressure regulator. I installed a new regulator and now the stovetop burners will ignite, however neither the bake nor broil burners in the oven will ignite. Everything was working just fine prior to over pressurizing the gas line, and in fact I replaced the lower ignitor a couple years ago. I suspect the gas safety valve is damaged, is there a way to confirm this through some sort of test? A replacement is quite expensive and I would like to know for certain that is the problem before purchasing a new one. Since this could be a mechanical failure of the valve I am thinking a continuity test will not help.

No output for bake or broil.

Plug this unit in and it comes alive. The burners work fine. Both oven elements OHM good. 120VAC to the elements to ground both ends both elements. So far so good. Push the button for broil or bake and nothing. No 120 VAC at the BR or BA terminals on the board. No temp display on the clock that is on. Can it be that the circuit board feeds both relays is burnt. The board (other that cockroach crap everywhere) looks great, no burnt areas.
Bad board huh!!

Riveted in Custom Igniters Stopped Working

I have a 40 year old Chambers stove top. The two igniters are riveted into two towers, each with 4 holes, 2 holes feeding two burners through flashover tubes, the other holes are for clean out. These igniters are fabricated as a pencil point piece of metal mounted vertically with a pointed silo roof of metal above. The spark jumps from the pencil point to the roof. When new, there must have been a plating on the parts. This plating has worn off. All crud has been cleaned off with Goo Off, and denatured alcohol. That cleaning doesn't restore function. I have to clean with Tarn-X to restore the igniters temporarily until they corrode again within 24 hours. Does anyone have permanent way to restore these igniters?

Samsung Oven Control Board DE92-02439e Burnt

Hello: In July 2013 we bought a new Samsung Split Oven, In Nov 2015 the upper temperature sensor was giving us error codes. We contacted Samsung, since it was out of warranty they would not do anything for us. They told us to contact An Authorized Service person. We live 1 hour west of Ottawa Ont, no one from Ottawa would come to look at the stove, they said too far away or it is out of warranty and we only do warranty work. We got the temp sensor working again. Then this past weekend wife was baking bread. A electrical burnt smell was coming from the exterior of the oven. Seeing no one wanted to work on the oven in the fall, I took the back off of the oven. The oven control board De92-02439, on the left side by the top relay was burnt crisp. Wife emailed Samsung today, generic response from them saying contact An Authorized Service person, wife is calling Samsung tomorrow.
I noticed a couple of years "Jekyl" had the same problem. We are wondering if we buy a new board off of the internet and replace it, will the next board burn up also or will the stove work for another 25 years?
Thanks for any help that any of you can give

LG Oven Temperature Not Right

Hi Folks,

My oven was working fine until two days ago. I set the temperature at 350 degrees F and then when the oven beeped that the set temperature was reached, I opened the door and the oven was clearly not as hot as it should be. I turned the oven off and restarted it and the oven read 210 degrees. From this it appears the over is running around 140 degrees under what was programmed. I tried cooking some chicken but it cooked very slow. Does anyone have any idea when it might be? Thanks.

GE Profile oven F2 error troubleshooting

Hi, getting intermittent but increasing in frequency lately F2 errors while cooking. It also continues when oven is off until temps apparently cool off. Trying to determine if its the temp sensor or something more insidious like a control board or...? Thanks for any advice.
