Riveted in Custom Igniters Stopped Working

I have a 40 year old Chambers stove top. The two igniters are riveted into two towers, each with 4 holes, 2 holes feeding two burners through flashover tubes, the other holes are for clean out. These igniters are fabricated as a pencil point piece of metal mounted vertically with a pointed silo roof of metal above. The spark jumps from the pencil point to the roof. When new, there must have been a plating on the parts. This plating has worn off. All crud has been cleaned off with Goo Off, and denatured alcohol. That cleaning doesn't restore function. I have to clean with Tarn-X to restore the igniters temporarily until they corrode again within 24 hours. Does anyone have permanent way to restore these igniters?
