Relays failing on Siemens oven

Hi all, I wonder if anyone has come across a similar problem before?

My Siemens oven started tripping the mains RCD a few months back. I traced the leakage first to an element but then back to leakage across an HF3FD relay. The relay in question had a small bump on the side of it that was different to all others on the board. I ordered a replacement relay (from Germany via ebay), fitted it to the board and everything was hunky dory again.

Last week the oven failed again, this time quite spectacularly, with a heater element stuck on (I assume that was the cause I first noticed the smell of burning then wished I hadn't opened the door to check that everything was really really hot - oxygen plus really hot things => conflagration) anyway, no great harm done.

Taking the oven to pieces again today and I've got another (different) relay with a bump on the side and, sure enough, a large leakage through it.

Hmmm ... I put the first failure down to poor QC at the relay factory. Now I'm thinking, was my oven fitted with relays from a dodgy batch or is there something else wrong that's causing the relays to fail.

The oven had been behaving just fine. Over current through actuator coil or contacts I guess could damage a relay but both have failed across the isolation barrier. You'd need some big volts to do that normally and we haven't been hit by lightning ... that I've noticed.

As I say, if anyone has experience of repetitive relay failures I'd love to hear it.

Jenn Air Broiler Element Gets Hot but not Red; Oven takes longer to preheat

I've been noticing that my oven is taking much longer lately to heat up. When I recently tried to Broil, I noticed that the top element does not turn red, though it does seem to get hot.
I was recently using the oven when it shut off unexpectedly and gave a "Feature not Available" message. When I reset the circuit breaker, I thought it returned to normal functioning. Now I'm not so sure.
Is the broiler element bad? Will replacing it fix the problem?

Thanks for your help,
Lauretta

LCE3081ST LG cooktop stopped working

Hi,

I have an electric lg cooktop model LCE3081ST that has stopped working. It's not turning on with no lights or sounds when pressing the buttons.

I opened the unit and found that the Interface power control board assembly
OEM Part - Manufacturer #EBR56867401 looked burnt out. I replaced the part with no luck.

Does anyone have the service manual for the unit or would like to help diagnose?

White-Westinghouse CC-774 Electric Stove/Oven Terminal Block Wiring Question

I wanted to make my wiring to my electric stove/oven less of a hassle to deal with so i was wondering if I could wire it like the diagram below? 1 wire from terminal block butt spliced or twist nutted together with a few other wires that connect to components and switches?

GE Gas Double Oven Range on sale but still over $1500 worth the investment?

Greetings comrades,

I have a question for you. I am renovating a property, the kitchen specifically and I am looking at placing new appliances in. I am taking special note to really make the kitchen and bathroom top notch (within a budget) and an oven I have been watching for a while has gone on "sale" -____- and I wanted to get an idea of the upkeep of this brand.
Let me be kinda clear. For over $1300 I don't want not a hair of a problem for what...10 years. I feel that is completely reasonable seeing as there are muchhhhh more competitively priced ranges on the market. However for the purpose of really driving the rental value of my property I want to make best investment.

Note: My last range that I just got rid of was an LG with a few years on it. I didn't buy it new but let me tell you, the maintenance value was so so as I had to make 3 repairs within the last say6-7 years. Umm. What else...I hope I gave you guys enough info to go off of. Honestly any way you spin it, in my opinion, paying more than say 600 top shelf for a oven is...beyond my comfort zone however I am willing to make a risky investment should this pay off. Also here is the site the range is on. I don't know how long it's been on sale but if anyone has any other suggestions def let me know. Also another part is I do want a warranty for any range I get.

White-Westinghouse Electric Range/Oven Re-Wiring help

I just purchased a home and the original owners left a White-Westinghouse CC-774 behind. Everything was working except for the oven timer clock and 2 surface burners. I replaced the stoves switches with new infinite switches as well as new surface burners. My issue is now that I have infinite switches I no longer need a neutral for the stove switches but the oven switches had originally been connected a drawing power from the stove switches. I put new wires on all the oven components and now iam just trying to find out if I have it wired up properly and where I need to connect the neutral wire to complete the circuit. If anyone could help me I would be extremely grateful I have been working on this for about a month and it is driving me crazy and refuse to give up on it.

This is the oven switch I am working with I cant find reference to a switch like this anywhere I suspect I need to attach a neutral wire to the top right corner where the black wire power runs through

LRE30453SB/00 LG oven doing some weird stuff

Good day all and thank you in advane for all your time and patience.

WE have a LG convection range/oven we have had for about 8 years. About three weeks ago, I turned the oven on and set it to bake 350. after about an hour the oven did not rise above 310 degrees and did not indicate the oven was ready for use. I researched the problem and figured out it was most likely the bake element. I ordered the part and installed it, turned the oven to bake 350 and it pretty quickly heated up to 310 but wopuld not go any hotter. I thought for a bit and decided to set the oven to bake 400 and and the oven heated to 380 and woudl not heat any more. I set the oven to 450 and the oven heated to 430 and no more. It will not reach the temp set on and it will not give the alarm the oven is ready for use. I have come to the end of my research plans and have no idea what is causing this issue.
