my dual counter range (im a student so no room for something big)
gets quite hot, turns reddish but after 5 minutes turns off and doesnt come back on till at 15 minutes later, which makes cooking things a pita and I cant cook stir fry or even brown any chicken. it just gets watery and white.

any help appreciated. someone told me thermostat but I have no idea what to look for. ive repaired a washing machine and can replace a electric wall outlet without turning off electricity but this is new to me.
