Magic Chef slide in electric stove

My electric stove top is working fine but today when I turned on the oven, it worked for about2 minutes and then shut off. This has never happened before. What could be wrong.

AGBS300PJ5WW Americana Oven REALLY Hot

I am working on an Americana landlord special (it has a manual oven thermostat and no clock, timer, or anything). The burners work great. The oven loves to get up to about 450-500 degrees. I am wondering if there is any adjustment to the thermostat itself other than adjusting the thermostat knob. It looks like there is a flathead screw that will adjust the flow of gas to the oven but I am not certain what that does. Thanks for the help guys!

Viking Stovetop Ignitor Issue - stumped.

Background: We bought a house with an older Viking, which my wife loves. One burner (#2) has never ignited, although the gas flows fine and can be lit with a match. Recently the other 3 burners all stopped working at the same time - no spark, but can be lit with a match, which is what we've been doing. Oven works fine.

So all 4 burners get gas flow and can be lit manually, but ignitors do not produce spark. Oven works fine and ignites on it's own. Oven light works.

I assumed it was the spark module, and foolishly ordered one before doing more diagnostics.

Opened it and installed the new module, and could only get one "pop" of spark. Resetting the breaker would sometimes produce one more pop, and sometimes not.

We tested both the modules, and both have:

Power from all switches to the module.
Continuity from the module to the ignitors.
No ground faults on any connections.

I am stumped, because as far as I know, that means it should produce spark. Does anyone have any thoughts?

No Response from LG Glass Cooktop Controls

Cooked top worked Sunday morning (for bacon, eggs and pancakes). Come lunch time, no response from control panel. Cleaned it thoroughly to ensure it wasn't a contact/conduction issue. The panel doesn't even go through reset cycle when the breaker is toggled. There is power at the whip wires. I think I'm looking at a suddenly dead control board.... Can I get a witness? Or any other ideas that would be more palpable?

Thanks!

NX58H5650W Samsung Convection Range Keypad or PCB contrl panel not responding

I have a Samsung free-standing gas range model NX58H5650W. The problem is that the control panel buttons are not responding and displays code --SE--. This range was purchase within two years however the technician said that it wasn't under warranty. :(

This is what I did...

1. I tried unplugging the power which seemed to reset the unit and everything seemed operable, the oven heated and I was able to reset the clock.... however this lasted only for a short period and the error --SE-- came back. On my second try at resetting the unit nothing happens and now the --SE-- error won't go away.
2. I called in a tech and he identified the part number, DG94-00941B. However he said the part was discontinued and unavailable. Fudge.

I plan on walking into Home Depot or Lowes to see what's up with the warranty or lack of.

In the meantime, I need to find replacement parts and I'm hoping the community knows of a possible keypad, membrane, or pcb, that will work with my unit? My internet searches has been uneventful. Crud. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Samsung FE710DRS/XAC - Clock and Oven issues, please help!

Greetings everyone, first post!

I am looking for advice regarding my Samsung FE710DRS stove. I have googled and come up short, nobody seems to have my exact symptoms. I'm hoping a new control board will fix the issues but would like some input first. A summary of my issues area as follows:

- Starting a couple months ago the oven clock started losing time randomly (about 1 hr per day). Also when the timer is running the clock appears to stand still and lose time entirely
- On several occasions the oven has switched modes on it's own. Specifically when set to convection bake, the oven will switch to broil and run full blast (although screen still displays bake). This has resulted in the oven overheating and food almost catching fire. It takes almost 5 hours for the oven to cool down again.
- The self clean function never seemed to work, and even within the first couple months of ownership we would get the E-0A error (overheating) which we should have had looked at under warranty but didn't

Anyways, like I stated I just want some input as to whether or not the control board is the likely culprit. I have examined my board and it appears fine with no obvious scorched areas. Is there any other parts you guys would recommend looking at?

Lastly, how hard is the swap of the board? It looks pretty straight forward, and although I never work with appliances I have lots of experience building computers and this looks very much the same. Mostly plug and play. Any precautions you'd recommend?

Thanks to everyone in advance!
