FE710DRS-XAA Samsung Oven turns off randomly

Hello - I've searched the web for my issue but came up empty for the most part. My Samsung range randomly turns off when baking. The oven will preheat to desired temp but will completely shut the entire unit down after a few minutes. The control panel goes completely blank but will reset after several seconds or when I turn a knob for the stove top to the on position. When the panel comes back on the clock blinks 12:00 and the oven remains off.

It shuts downs like it has tripped a circuit in my circuit break but has not. The stove top works fine so it appears that this issue is confined to the oven. I'm assuming it is a control panel issue but was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if someone can help me troubleshoot.

Thanks in advance!

Samsung NX58H9500WS: Digital display doesn't work, but sometimes works after using the oven

I've had the Samsung NX58H9500WS since May 2017. As of maybe three months ago, after a series of rainstorms in our area, the digital clock and temperature display stopped working. It would, however, intermittently come back on after I used the oven, then not work again.

I can still use the oven and stovetop fine. I just have to sort of fly blind in terms of knowing what time it is, what temperature I set my oven to, and what I set the timer to.

The other parts of the display (the non-LED parts) still work.

I read through some threads on this forum about this issue, and it didn't seem like anyone had this issue. Most of the issues related to the display board completely burning out or other parts of the range---namely the oven---not working.

Has anyone experienced this and, if so, what did you do?

Note: I can't pull my stove out of where it's positioned myself. In other words, I can't unplug it. :( I can only turn it off from the circuit breaker.

NX58H9500WS Samsung Gas Range Error code E-83

I have a Samsung gas range model NX58H9500WS/AA. I bought it used with display not working. I replaced the display PCB with a used board and it displayed Error E-83. I found some mouse issues with the wiring harness so I replaced the main harness. That did not fix the error so I replaced the main PCB. That didn't fix it either. Thinking the used display board maybe bad I replaced it with a new one. So it has a new Display PCB, new Main PCB and a new wiring harness. Theres not much left. Any help would be appreciated.

Heating Element frequently requires replacement

Hi,

So I've gone through 3 stoves and about 5 heating elements in the last 10 or so years.

These are all electric glass top models. Had GE, Frigidaire and Whirlpool. Every 2-3 years a heating element would go. Mind you we do cook a lot several times a day.

I am just wondering if there's something that I can do to increase the lifespan, as the heating elements are not cheap to replace and sometimes it's not worth it after a certain age.

Is it the constant cycling on/off of the heating element that is destroying these? or just the amount of use (on time) that is destroying it?

Also the temperature sensor that is automatically cycling the element on/off, is that based on the element temperature or the glass top temperature?

I was told using pans that are not completely flat would also cause it to cycle more often then needed.

Bosch HDI7282C/09 Water spill shorted out control panel

Yesterday our babysitter spilled water on the stovetop of our Bosch oven. It appeared to short out the control panel (it flashed an error code which she didn’t write down, and then the display shut off). We turned off the breaker and left the unit off overnight. This morning when power was restored, all of the buttons on the control panel display seem to be responsive, however the dial/knob that cycles through functions is not working. Because the stove is gas, our regular service tech cannot help and there’s a two week wait for the other local company. We have 4 young kids and it’s a long time to go without our oven. Looking for any possible solutions or things to try. Is it strange that part of the control panel would work but not the knob? Thanks for any help.

Electric Induction Cooker doesn't work

Hi there! My cooker stopped working while in use. The circuit breaker was blown and maybe that was because of overheating because its downside ventilation was not good. What should I do now?

FTQ353IWUX Samsung range right front burner gets too hot

So lately every time we try to use the right front burner it gets so hot we have to stop and not use it, so much so that we've stopped using all together.
Has anyone had this issue before?

I few post I've found doing some searches point to the burner switch knob itself.

Thanks for your help and input.

Samsung FX710BGS/XAA Sounds like flame is turning on and off

I have a Samsung FX710BGS/XAA that's having an issue. It's heating up okay but it sounds like when a gas flame blows out, and then back on. You can also hear the gas flow and it sounds like it's turning on and off. It's like 2 seconds on, a second off, two seconds on, a second off....The orange glow stays consistently on but it's definitely not right. Does anybody know what this might be from?

Thanks.

HEI8054U/03 Bosch slide in electric range, digital part of the display stopped displaying

The digital part of the display stopped displaying. The features still worked till the other day when they stopped working and the fan decided to randomly turn the fan on and off. Nothing works with regularity except the oven light.
Any insight would be great.

LG LDE3037ST Oven Not Maintaining Temperature after preheat

I am having some trouble with my LG LDE3037ST electric range maintaining temp. Upper oven works perfectly fine. The lower oven has been problematic since I bought it. I should have done something about it sooner. I am pretty sure it is the oven relay board, but I thought I would ask for some opinions before I throw more money at this oven. I have done quite a bit a searching, but I thought I would confirm some of my findings with others.

First I should say I have tested the resistance of both temperature sensors at room temp and in boiling water. Both are within spec at room temp and have extremely similar resistances in boiling water. I have run the sensor service test diagnostic and temps read fine. They also read the correct resistances up where they plug into the PCB board. I am also using multiple other thermocouples in the oven to understand what the temp is actually doing. I have also zeroed out all temperature adjustments in the oven so that is not skewing things.

Here is the issue. Oven will preheat, then after preheat is done, oven will drift lower in temp. If I cancel the bake, then restart the bake, the "live" temperature on the displays shows a lower value preheating will start to get it back up to temp. Perhaps the relay for the lower oven hidden element is not turning on - and during preheating the convection element heats as well? Perhaps the broiler element too? But after preheating ends, oven again drifts lower in temp - however it does not keep getting lower. If I do this same thing to the upper oven, the oven still shows preheated, or if I choose a new, higher temp on the top oven, will show a live temp right near where the previous temperature was set. Now on the lower oven if I cancel the bake, then do an immediate temperature sensor service test - the lower oven test temp looks to be pretty close to the actual temp. One of my concerns is why the service temp reading is accurate, but the live temp while preheating is shifted lower. Upper oven functions and temps read as expected.

It should also be noted that the convection bake seems to be better. Although is the fan supposed to run more than about 2-3 seconds every 10 seconds?

As I stated above, I would have assumed it was the relay board (EBR64624601) based on everything I did if I did not have run the service test on the thermocouples. Repair manual would confirm I should also replace the oven relay PCB. However it the live vs. sensor test reading differences make me think the oven system pcb (EBR64624502) might have an issue, or perhaps even something else. Why are the readings different if they are using the same sensor at basically the same time?

I apologize for the long post. Please let me know if you have any thoughts? I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

VGIC2454BSS Viking freestanding gas stove One burner is slow to click/ignite

One burner is slow to click/ignite on Viking freestanding gas stove - Spark Module issue?

I have a viking gas stove (24", 4x burners), and for one of the burners, the Spark Ignitor does not click as frequently or as early when I turn the knob. This has been a persistent issue for years, but I've had too much else to worry about, so I've just been lighting with a match :3:

Now I'm ready to fix it. :wall:

On the other 3 burners, the Ignitors click/spark almost immediately when I turn the knob to "simmer," but for this particular burner, I have to turn the knob almost on full before the ignitor starts to click.

I tried cleaning all the burner heads, and I replaced the Spark Ignitor on that one burner - no help.

So here's the question: can a problem with the Spark Module effect only one burner? Does it sound like the Spark Module needs to be replaced, or could it be the burner knob mechanism, or something else?

Any help would be appreciated!
