Hi all. New here. I have a garland stove model R286-186-IR four burner with griddle, 36". The oven no longer ignites. I cannot find a parts list, nor does anyone appear to service garland/bluestar stoves in my area of central New York. I believe it is the igniter. I pulled it, it has no part numbers on it anywhere. DCS RGV305n Range

I have a DCS RGV305N Range that I need to change MTG BLOCK ASSY RG 30 TEMP OEM 245753. The knob will not go to off and the broiler will not come on. Are DACOR gas cooktops made by Samsung?

We bought a 36" Dacor gas cooktop recently during BF week. It's not delivered yet. Dacor p/n DTG36P875NS.

Noticed it looked identical to the Samsung cooktop. I think the only difference was the color of the LED's on the knobs. The Dacor was about $200-$300 cheaper at the time compared to the identical Samsung.

I know Samsung bought Dacor a few years back, so is Dacor making the gas cooktops for Samsung or is Samsung rebranding their cooktops as Dacor?

Replacing 17 year old GE Cooktop - all new ones are different dimensions

Our GE gas cooktop is done as far as we are concerned. Grates have been chipping for many years ($200+ shipping to re-porcelain them). Igniters on one side are iffy. Burners have discolored over the years. Wife wants a new one. We removed the top trim to measure the hole and found that the hole measures 21" deep. In checking the installation specs, it says +/- 1/16th of an inch.

Samsung Stovetop Element

The left rear element on my Samsung stove stopped working. It tested bad so I replaced it. Still doesn’t work. And now the hot stovetop light stays on all the time. I swapped controls with another working element. No luck. I rechecked the connections. They all look right.
I must admit I’m stumped at this point.

Viking Stove - Oven will not light

Viking stove 30" model # VGCC5304BSS. Been thru recalls and survived that, really up to now we have not had an issue BUT now the Oven will not light, no spark clicking, nothing. Hi all, I have a VGSC305-4BDSS Viking I converted to Natural. Owner I bought it from had LP and complained that the oven didn’t get hot enough for baking. Well the right oven bake burner doesn’t work. Left works fine, but right has no gas going to it. Igniters on both work perfect. Right now I am able to dmm measure a 120VAC connection from the right of the oven to one side of the dual gas valve, and there is another 12-13VAC connection from the right of the oven to the other side of the gas valve. SC8720ED may be easier to find. Customer reports when left burners are turned on, the fan comes on, and it did not do that a month or two ago.

I changed the infinite switches as the rear left burner would not engage initially. Now that's working.

I just moved into a place and it came with a nice Thermador model SC302 Double wall oven. The oven had one issue which I have already repaired, which was a dim display (capacitors were dead)

PART NUMBERS: 2 x 470 uf 35V, and one 68 uf 35v. (in the end I only replaced 1x470uf 35v because the LED board is in the way of the second one... replacing the 2 seems to have brought the display back to life though.)

Oven trying to start but won't stay on

So this oven when you choose bake OR broil click 3-4 times real fast, you hear gas, it lights for 1-2 seconds and goes right back out. It will try to light again about 1 min later, it will do this maybe twice then never tried again until you cancel, and restart the process.

The gas on cooktop works fine. I'm leaning towards control (which says isn't made) but I was wondering if the safety valve could be the problem?

Bake element no good?

I have an LG LRE3083ST electric oven that's not getting to preheat temp, seems like the bottom bake element is the problem. It's located under the cavity floor and out of sight so I can't see that it's NOT working but that surface doesn't get very hot - so the assumption is that it is not working. Gaggenau EB 290 / 291 wall oven F 14 error

I have two Gaggenau EB 290 / 291 wall ovens and one of them beeps randomly and displays a "F 14" error code. I believe I need to replace the power module part #00268401, but it is no longer available from the manufacturer, appliance parts websites or ebay. Dacor Range ER36D - Igniters not working (all of them)

Hi There

I was gifted a Dacor ER36D range and it has been fantastic to date.

That said, last night all six ignitors stopped working. This seems a bit strange and I am curious if anybody has experience addressing this issue. My limited research shows that there are 6 ignition modules supporting the burners, but it would be highly unlikely that all six would fault at the same time.

Could there be an inline fuse or something that needs replacing?

Flipped the breaker and it came back.
But.
Years ago I cleaned the squirrel cage fan when we had the same code.
Wonder if it's time again and should I also replace the "sail" switch? If so, where would I find that in the single oven version?
And, might there be other bits that need cleaning while I have it out.?

Pretty sure I need to replace the door hinges too as the door won't close properly and I just put in a new fiberglass door seal.

10431-2 Moffat electric range Replacement thermostat for 20-yo elec range?

The oven went out on my circa-1999 Moffat electric range. (Moffat is a member of the GE brand family in Canada.) With "bake" selected the oven warms but does not heat and the indicator oven light doesn't activate. With "broil" selected the indicator light comes on, but zero heat.

Frigidaire Stovetop heating element pressure plate issue.

My Frigidaire electric stovetop has little pressure plates in the center of the heating elements, and when we use our large frying pans, which have concave undersides, the pans do not contact and push the pressure plate. When this happens, the heating element stops heating and cools drastically after 3 or so minutes, assumingly as a safety measure.
Unfortunately, this means my frying pans can not fry because they do not push the safety pressure plates.

Bosch HDI7282U/09 DF oven won't reach/hold temp in Bake and Convection bake cycles

Temperature sensor replaced, no improvement. Upper heating element measures 16.7 ohms. Lower heating element measures 30.4 ohms. Convection heating element measures 1 ohm. Broil and Convection Roast work great. I'm thinking I have two problems, a bad convection heating element (PN 004366320), and a bad power module (PN 00657860), (ie. bad relay for bake cycle). Frigidaire oven intermittent

Its a Frigidaire about 5 years old.

My oven has recently developed a couple glitches. It is becoming reluctant to light. I push "bake" & set the temp.... it does the pre-heat/test fire and then shuts off. I can see the pre heat come on normal but the main doesn't light. If I do it a couple times, it eventually lights.

Garland oven breaks bad

Hi all. New here. I have a garland stove model R286-186-IR four burner with griddle, 36". The oven no longer ignites. I cannot find a parts list, nor does anyone appear to service garland/bluestar stoves in my area of central New York. I believe it is the igniter. I pulled it, it has no part numbers on it anywhere. Thermador SGCS430RB Cooktop burner extinguishes after 5 minutes of proper operation

Thermador SGCS430RB Cooktop burner lights and operates just fine for 5 +/- minutes, then the flam goes out and the igniter starts clicking. There is no gas flow, so it does not relight until is rests for a while.

I cleaned enerything and it made not difference. It is one of the burners without the Extra-Lo feature. Any guidence would be appreciated.

almost every year, over the winter, mice invade the range at out summer-only lakehouse.
and so almost every year i have to take it apart to clean it and sometimes to replace the soiled insulation.

1970’s GE double range griddle burner

Hello, looking for advice on repairing the right front burner of my 1979’s era GE. According to my MIL, “It was originally designed for a flat grill where all steaks, sautéing, pancakes, etc. were done. Had a special grill that fit on it with built in grease drain.”
Currently there is just a hole there where this apparent griddle used to be. I’m not sure why it quit working but I would love to either find the griddle part or try to convert to a coil burner like the other 3. Any advice?

JennAir cooktop not sparking

I have a great but old (1994) JennAir downdraft cooktop model # CVG2420B. Just returned from an extended trip and none of the 4 burners will spark. Definitely getting gas and can light with Bic lighter. All power is plugged in and fan working. After researching, it may be the spark module? - parts numbers: Y705823/AP4292539 replaced by WPY705823. Problem is- ALL of these are discontinued. Anyone know of a generic part that could replace this? Or if it could be something else?

Viking Vgsc305 one oven burner won’t lite

Hi all, I have a Vgsc305 Viking I converted to Natural. Owner I bought it from had LP and complained that the oven didn’t get hot enough for baking. Well the right oven bake burner doesn’t work. Left works fine, but right has no gas going to it. Igniters on both work perfect. But when gas valve opens there is no gas going to the right side orifice if you cover with finger. Wondering if gas valve went bad? Anyone experience this?

Wolf dual fuel range takes 1 hour to pre-heat

I Just bought a used 36" dual fuel (electric oven) range and it takes about an hour to preheat to 350F. Is this normal?
I had a cheap whirlpool I replaced which literally took about 10-15 minutes and if I wanted to bake something quick
I would be done within 30-45 minutes and that's including with the preheat.

Yes I understand these ovens are heavier, thicker metal and it takes longer... But 1 hour everytime I want to use it to bake

I have a 17 year old Thermador still in good condition. For several years it was harder to get the pilot on the range to light. The board was just changed to the universal because the oven would high up over 250 degrees and now the oven is working fine. Then now none of the ranges ignite. Bosch pke611d17e - Small h on plate indicator

Hi,
Recently purchased a Bosch pke611d17e and installed it, after one use it retains a small h on the plate indicators and am unsure what this is trying to tell me.
After use it sets a capital H to indicate that its still hot, after leaving it without power overnight and turning it back on the next morning it still has a small h on each plate that was used.
Tried asking Bosch directly but keep getting forwarded to a departments answering machine. My instructions were also only in Russian...

Viking Dual Fuel Wont heat, replaced pre-heat and relay

I bought a used range and it sat for a while. Finally got it hooked up and the heating coil would only slightly heat. Have 220 across the leads to the heating elment Through the help on this site, I replaced the relay at the bottom (did find a burnt lug) and tried, nope. replaced Pre heat board, the same thing. HAve 18 ohms across the heating element so don't think that is the issue. Very stumped on this?

Thermador PD304 slow heating issue

We have a Thermador PD304 30" electric oven and it takes 16 minutes to get to 200 degrees, 26 minutes to 300 degrees, 40 minutes to 375 degrees and 45 minutes to 400 degrees.

Bosch HGS8655UC weak broiler

I have a Bosch HGS8655UC freestanding range. I've noticed recently that the broiler is getting weaker and weaker. I took a video of the lighting process and you can see how weak the flames are. I've seen a lot of stuff on the internet about failing igniters causing safety valves not to open fully, but my igniter seems to be of a different style. I have two Gaggenau EB 290 / 291 wall ovens and one of them beeps randomly and displays a "F 14" error code. HBN8651UC/02 5 years Bosch Double Wall Oven Not Completing Preheat

I have a 27" Bosch Double Wall Oven that does not come up to set temperature. I replaced the temperature sensor, it is good. I tried to replace the control module, but the display will not come on with the new module. The only thing that works is the oven light. PS978S T1SS GE range problems

My range will come on and heat up in the oven or stove top burner. But it will run for about 4 minutes and shut down. Cloxk and everything goes off. Ten about a minute or two later it comes back on. Have to reset heat and clock every time. What do I need to check

Seems like losing heat around oven door

I was standing near this oven this week while a pie was cooking. There seems to be a LOT of heat coming from around the oven door. The gasket around the door appears intact. I pushed the door handle and the door moved to more closed but didn’t stay. Is there an adjustment on the door hinges to make the seal better or is this normal. I’ve never paid attention to this so don’t know if it’s normal.

is a 19 year old Wolf dual fuel 36" range worth buying?

Hello,

I fund a 36" perfect condition dual fuel wolf range I'd like to buy. Problem is, the range build date is 2003... and seller won't budge off $6500 for it.

Range looks perfect, it seems to have been refurbished. I'm just hesitant about a 19 year old range specially when wolf only keeps parts for up to 20 years.

I found several newer ranges but all gas for less money. Not sure what to do, if the range was newer, I wouldn't mind paying 6.5k. What do you all think?

Oven does not heat >200 on regular bake

I have a kitchen-aid double oven. The top oven when I just select bake does not heat over 200. However when I use convect bake on that oven it heats up appropriately. Bottom oven works ok.

Viking Range RVDR3305 heating element won't work

Hey everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone on here has any experience with replacing these heating elements on this model. There appears to be a very limited amount of youtube vids, and none of them look like this discontinued model. We moved into this house and found out later the oven was busted. thanks!

Samsung Gas Stove Turning On and Off

Never noticed this before but the gas turns on and off on oven. You can hear it every few seconds ignite then go out. What could be causing this? See attached video for example of sound.

New double wall oven - GE or Samsung?

I have finally raised the white flag on my 15 year old Whirlpool Gold double wall oven. After repairing the NLA main control board, we are ready to move on. Measuring our cabinet, and based on electrical location in the cabinet, there are only two 30" brands that seem to work for us. GE and Samsung. We don't care about convection.
